last summer, I dived headfirst into the dialogue-filled, French dreamscapes of Eric Rohmer’s summer tales. nothing quite fills the void of watching those films for the first time again, but Near Orouët is a close second, and Rozier helps satiate my appetite for films about women lounging around coastal towns near Paris. patient, funny, sweet, a little sad by the end, and just a lovely ride overall.
